Sin City Pits Built Differently: More Than Just a Kennel, Three Businesses Built Into One Program
Producing 300+ Dogs and Learning Through Experience
Over the years we at Sin City Pits have produced 300+ dogs, that amount of productions is what has helped us learn things most breeders simply don’t get the opportunity to experience firsthand. Many will never fully understand why certain things are done specific ways, but everything we do has a reason behind it.
I’ve learned through all this experience what works, what didn’t, and how to better these dogs not just once, but consistently over time. That’s what pushed our program to build beyond just producing dogs. It led to thinking outside the box, starting our own cryobank, and formulating our own supplements based on real needs our dogs deserve.
Continue reading below to see how all of this ties together.
Cryobank Preservation: Building for Decades Ahead
From day one, we started collecting our best productions using veterinarians who specialize in collecting and freezing semen. This was always important to me because I knew the genetics behind our dogs were something that needed to be protected, perfected and not just used once and forgotten about so after doing this for multiple years, we ended up with semen collections stored at different veterinarians in many different states, and different countries. At first, that was just part of the process, but over time it started to become harder to manage, more expensive with all the storage fees, and honestly came with worries of what if something ever happened to me and my wife or partners didn’t know where all these units were at or how to access them. At the end of the day, these breeding units are the real estate of the program. We just had too much spread out in too many places, and that’s when I knew it was time to take control of it so i made the decision to get certified, learn the process of freezing canine semen, purchase all the proper and best equipment, and bring everything under one roof. That’s what led to CCSB www.CryoCanine.com
Now instead of depending on multiple outside facilities, we are able to freeze, store, manage, and track our own collections properly. We began transferring units into CCSB so everything could be organized in one place and handled the right way.
This business allows us to preserve the best productions from our program, along with important semen units we purchased from some of the best dogs within our pedigrees that other programs produced many years before us. Those dogs are a big part of the foundation behind what we have today, and preserving that blood gives us the ability to keep building without losing what made these dogs special in the first place.
This wasn’t something I added later just to say we have a Cryobank. This was part of the long-term vision, to protect what we’ve built and make sure it never gets lost over time. Too many programs lose key genetics because they don’t plan far enough ahead, and that’s something we weren’t going to allow since day one. Now we have over 160+ breeding units stored through π§ͺ Cryo Canine

These collections are not just for us either. They are also available to the public for serious breeders who understand the value of proven genetics and want to improve their own programs and future offspring the right way. Having our own Cryobank gives us the ability to go back, move forward, recreate proven pairings, correct things as needed, and plan years ahead with much more control instead of guessing. It gives our breeding program flexibility most programs don’t have, and it helps protect the future of these dogs for decades to come.
DNA Profiling, Proven Pedigrees, and Trust
We didn’t just build a semen bank though, we built a verified system with proper paper trail behind it. Every dog we have collected and used for breedings have been DNA profiled, with one exception, DPP Colossus, our foundation male who passed unexpectedly before we were able to complete his DNA profile. We make that clear so everything is fully transparent if one sees a gap in one of our pedigrees "i do have images I can share with anyone if necessary of them locked together". Nothing is hidden, and everything we do is documented to the highest level possible. Far as our DNA work its done through UC Davis, one of the most trusted veterinary genetics labs available: π https://vgl.ucdavis.edu
To keep it simple, there is a difference between DNA profiling and DNA-VIP.
DNA profiling is identifying the dog’s genetic identity, basically putting that dog on file genetically.
DNA-VIP goes a step further. That is DNA profiling tied directly to both parents, meaning it verifies that the dog is actually off the stated sire and dam. It turns a pedigree from something written on paper into something that is genetically fully proven. Most of our dogs and pedigrees are DNA-VIP verified. The only time you’ll see a break in that chain, where it may show DNA-P instead of DNA-VIP, comes from dogs like Colossus or dogs that were before our time that were never DNA-P completed. We make that clear so there’s no confusion. That break isn’t from us cutting corners, it’s from timing and circumstances that were out of our control, and we are upfront about it.
We also run DNA health testing through Wisdom Panel, which is another form of DNA testing focused on identifying genetic health markers and traits within a dog another step we do to add to the value of our dogs paper trail, use this link for your discount on a DNA kit for your dog(s) π https://share.wisdompanel.com/cabral7027
Genetics isn’t just about where they come from, it’s also about what they carry.
This is done for:
• Proven pedigree tracking
• Breeding decisions using real DNA data, not guesswork
• Added value to the dog itself
• Security for buyers and the dog(s) registration documents
• Additional insight into genetic health and traits
A lot of people rely on paperwork alone, paperwork can only go so far. BUT, DNA-VIP is what actually confirms everything and removes any questioning, proving that the dog is off the exact parents we say they are from.
If semen isn’t DNA verified and someone is selling it to you for use, think twice before purchasing that unit. DNA profiling is a simple process and relatively low cost per dog of only $50 so if a breeder isn’t doing this simple step, it should raise questions about their well doing and program.
If you’re looking to DNA profile your own dog, UKC offers DNA kits directly here:

All these steps we take are to build 100% trust in our program and confirm that the dogs are documented and verified to the highest level possible. No guessing, no gaps, everything is backed.

This all ties directly into everything we do. It supports our breeding program at Sin City Pits, it adds real value and security of the units stored at CCSB , and it ensures that everything we continue to build is based on verified, proven genetics, proper paper trail with not assumptions.
Lavish Paws: Internal Health Matters
I didn’t stop there.
Once we got to a point where we were consistently producing the look, structure, and overall aesthetics we wanted in these dogs, it was time to go further and focus on internal health.
Not because we were seeing problems, but because I wanted to understand what it actually takes to support these dogs long-term from the inside out so i spent over a year researching internal health, learning what these dogs actually need for longevity, overall wellness, and development. During that process, I found there were key things that weren’t being properly supported through kibble alone, and even raw feeding couldn’t always fully accommodate everything either.
That’s where things started to change. Before creating anything, we tested multiple top brands you’ll find on places like Chewy and Amazon, ones I thought were the best options available from my research but after deeper research and even sending samples out for third-party testing, I started finding that a lot of these products were underdosed and filled with unnecessary fillers and it made sense as at the end of the day, most of those companies are built around numbers, not long-term health. That’s what led to the creation of πΎ Lavish Paws https://lavishpaws.co
This wasn’t something I slapped our name on and it wasn’t created as an extra source of income. It was built from the ground up based on real research, real testing, and what I wanted to better the long term health for my own dogs and program. We formulated, tested, and refined everything over a year period, including running bloodwork on our own dogs while using these supplements to be sure they were working, and have now been using them consistently for over two years.
A canine supplement line that:
• Took over a year of research and formulate
• Contains zero fillers or unnecessary ingredients
• Has been tested on our own dogs long-term
• Backed by real bloodwork and real-world results
We’ve also helped multiple pet owners across different breeds who were dealing with things like skin and allergy-related issues, hot spots, inflamed paws, poor immune systems and have seen legitimate cures with our probiotic, hip and joint, and multivitamins which we have shown working, not just talked about.
Lavish Paws ties directly back into everything we do. It supports our breeding dogs, our puppies, and the long-term health of the dogs we produce. Just like CCSB protects the genetics, Lavish Paws supports how those genetics develop, perform, and hold up over time.
Everything we’ve built here has been reinvested into the dogs and the program. This was never about creating another product, but about doing things the right way for the longevity of Sin City Pits and the dogs.
American Terrier: Defining Our Own Standard
As the program evolved over the years, and with the amount of generations we’ve been able to produce (6+), it only made sense to separate what we’ve created from others not doing the same.
While our dogs are officially registered as American Pit Bull Terriers through UKC I created the term “American Terrier” for them to represent the consistency, refinement, and direction behind our program. It isn’t about renaming a breed, it’s about defining the type of dog we’ve been consistently producing over time and after enough generations, you start to see the difference within then and others.
This includes:
• Consistent aesthetics across litters and generations
• Proven intelligence and trainability
• Consistent athleticism, not just size
• Natural muscle development without overdone features
• Moderate, controllable drive, Meaning they’re not lazy, and not overly hyper or uncontrollable.
They’re balanced.
This is what separates Sin City Pits productions from what people typically associate with extremes, whether that be “game dogs” or American Bully types.
We’re not chasing either end of that spectrum. Our productions are not lazy nor overly hyper. The goal has always been to produce the best of this breed and I can safely say we've done just so.
A Program Built on a Team
Everything I've built with our Co-owners and partners thanks to all of them, ties together to better these dogs' future, for the dogs, for us, and for all future Sin City Pits dog owners. Built by a team that all shares the same end goal.
These are individuals who:
- Follow through with our agreements
- Represent the program
- Help maintain and grow the vision
Built Differently
The dogs, the knowledge, the preservation, the long term vision thinking and planning years ahead, the supplements — all created from hands-on experience.
This isn’t something you can just read a book and learn.
- No hype
- No shortcuts
- No chasing or copying trends.
- No changing visions
- No going back on our word.
