At Sin City Pits, everything we do has always been about one goal, bettering the breed.
For over 14 years and 300 plus productions, I have focused on structure, intelligence, athleticism, and overall health. Every generation has been a step forward.
At a certain point in my program, after years of consistency and getting about six generations deep into our bloodline, I took a step back and really looked at what we had built.
The dogs were becoming everything I had envisioned.
Better structure
Better temperament
More intelligence
More athletic
More naturally built the way they are supposed to be
And I thought to myself…
Alright, we got the outside where we want it.
So what is next?
That is when it really hit me.
If I know how we got them to look this good on the outside…
How do we make sure they are just as good on the inside?
Because the truth is, you cannot see internal health.
A dog can look perfect, move perfect, act perfect, and still be lacking what it needs long term.
That is what made me shift my focus.
Not just producing better dogs physically…
But making sure they are being supported properly from the inside out for the long run.
And that is where Lavish Paws really began.
Where Lavish Paws Came From
That is what led me into learning the nutrition side of things.
Not just surface level stuff, I really took the time to understand what dogs actually need for a long healthy life.
Not just what sounds good…
What they are actually missing
What they are not getting from kibble
What they are not fully getting even from raw
What ingredients matter, what works together, what is unnecessary, and what is just there for marketing.
I spent about 8 months going through ingredient panels from multiple companies, then researching each ingredient individually.

How much is actually needed
And how it interacts with other ingredients
That is when things really started opening up.
What Dogs Are Actually Missing
One of the biggest things I realized during this process was this.
Even when you are feeding a solid kibble, or even a well put together raw diet, there are still gaps.
Dogs are not always getting consistent levels of:
Essential vitamins
Trace minerals
Joint support nutrients
Gut supporting bacteria
Omega fatty acids
And even when they are, it is not always balanced properly or consistent day to day.
That is where long term health starts to fall off without people even realizing it.
Because everything may look fine at first…
But internally the body is slowly lacking what it needs to function at its best.
That is what I wanted to fix.

What I Found
A lot of products do have good ingredients on the label, but that does not mean they are going to work properly. There is a lot more that goes into it than just putting an ingredient on a label.
That is where I really started digging deeper.
I started looking at how much of each ingredient was actually in these products, what ingredients were being paired together, what was unnecessary, what was more for looks and marketing, and what was actually going to make a difference for the dog.
That is when I started seeing the real truth.
Some products were loaded with fillers.
Some had good ingredients but were underdosed.
Some were paired wrong.
Some were trying to do too much in one product just for marketing.
You will see a multivitamin trying to also be a hip and joint, or gut health, or an all in one.
But realistically, that is where things start falling short.
For example, you might see glucosamine in there, which sounds great, but then when you look at the amount, it is nowhere near enough to really support joints the way people think.
Same thing with probiotics. A product may include them, but not in a high enough amount to really do much.
Some top brands, even ones recommended by veterinarians, do not even fully show their formulas.
So on paper it may look like a great product…
But when you really break it down, a lot of it is just big companies focused on sales, not results.
That is what made me realize it is not just about what is in the formula…
It is about how everything is dosed, how it works together, and whether it is actually built right.
How We Built Each Formula
Once I understood what was missing and what was being done wrong, the next step was building something the right way.

Everything was built as a system, not just a list of ingredients.
Because that is how the body actually works.
Separating Truth From Marketing
Another thing I started seeing was brands pushing misinformation.
For example, saying glucosamine does not even get absorbed.
That is not true.
It does get absorbed, but like anything else, it comes down to how it is dosed and how the formula is built.
If it is underdosed or thrown into an all in one product, you are not going to see much.
That does not mean the ingredient does not work.
It means the product was not built correctly.
That is the kind of stuff I had to figure out during those 8 months.

Once everything was put together, I did not just release it.
I spent another 6 months testing it the right way.
Multiple of our own dogs, different litters, real daily use.
We ran bloodwork before and after, looking at:
Liver values
Kidney function
Red and white blood cells
Overall nutrient balance
Making sure nothing was being negatively affected.
Nothing went backwards.
Everything either stayed stable or improved.
And you could see it in the dogs too.
Better coats
Better digestion
Better overall condition
That was all I needed to see.
Most companies are not in a position to test like this.
They are not working with multiple dogs and generations every day like a real breeder is.
I do not guess when it comes to my dogs.

Testing Timeline
Multiple bloodwork panels were conducted at 30, 90, and 180 days.
The results shown reflect the 6 month evaluation, showing long term internal health, stability, and proper support.
Veterinary Health Confirmation
We used Lazarus as an example, a stud that plays a big role in our program.
His bloodwork came back completely within normal limits, including thyroid.
He is in great condition, well muscled, and exactly what I expect from my program.
